A vibro sifter can carry one, two or three screens. More decks give more size fractions, but also add height, parts and cleaning time. Here's how to decide.

| Cleaning time | Shortest | Moderate | Longest |
Choose Single Deck When…
- You only need to remove oversize or foreign matter.
- You are sifting before blending, compression or packing.
- Changeovers are frequent and cleaning time matters.
Choose Double Deck When…
- Your specification limits both maximum and minimum size – e.g. granules after drying.
- You want to remove fines (dust) as well as lumps.
- You would otherwise sift twice.
Choose Triple Deck When…
- You sell several grades of the same product – fertilizer granules, dehydrated vegetables, mineral fillers.
- Floor space doesn't allow multiple machines.
Sizing a Multi-Deck Machine
Size the machine on the hardest separation – usually the finest screen. Also check the charging height, as each added frame raises the inlet. See double & triple deck vibro sifter for details.
