Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions buyers ask about Sterial Machinery's vibro sifters.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a vibro sifter machine used for?

A vibro sifter separates dry powders and granules by particle size. It is used to remove oversize lumps and foreign matter, grade granules before compression or packing, and check-screen raw materials in pharmaceutical, food, chemical and cosmetic plants.

Which vibro sifter sizes does Sterial Machinery manufacture?

We build models with screen diameters of 12", 20", 24", 30", 36", 48", 60" and 72". Indicative outputs run from 25โ€“100 kg/hour on the 12" model up to 200โ€“1500 kg/hour on the 72" model, depending on the material.

What mesh sizes are available?

Screens are available from 4 mesh to 300 mesh. The right mesh depends on the particle size you want to pass and the oversize you want to reject; our mesh size guide explains how to choose.

Are the contact parts stainless steel?

Yes. All contact parts and screens are made of SS 316, and the sieves are lead-free and silicone-sealed. This suits pharmaceutical and food applications where cleaning and corrosion resistance matter.

Do you supply vibro sifters outside Gujarat?

Yes. Machines are manufactured in Ahmedabad and dispatched to customers across India, including Maharashtra, Telangana and Himachal Pradesh. Freight and installation support are confirmed in each quotation.

How much does a vibro sifter cost in India?

Price depends on screen diameter, number of decks, mesh, motor type (standard or flameproof) and accessories such as vacuum transfer. Share your requirement through the quote form for an exact price; see also our article on factors that affect vibro sifter price.

What is the difference between a vibro sifter and a multi mill?

A vibro sifter only separates particles by size; it does not reduce them. A multi mill breaks down oversize granules to a target size. In a granulation line the two are often used together. See vibro sifter vs multi mill.

What is the difference between single, double and triple deck?

The number of screens. A single deck gives two fractions (pass and reject). A double deck gives three and a triple deck gives four. See multi-deck vibro sifter.

Do you offer a flameproof vibro sifter?

Yes. Flameproof construction is available for areas handling solvents or combustible dust. See flameproof vibro sifter.

Can the vibro sifter be connected to a vacuum transfer system?

Yes. Inline loading with a vacuum transfer system is available as an option so sifted material can move directly to a bin or blender.

Is the machine noisy?

The design is intended for low-noise, high-speed operation. Noise in use depends on the material, the screen tension and the mounting; a correctly tensioned screen and secure clamps keep it quiet.

How are the screens changed?

Screens are clamped between the frames. Releasing the clamps lets you lift off the top cover and frames, swap the screen and reassemble. Spare screens in other meshes can be ordered.

Do you provide installation support?

Vibro sifters are portable and need only a level floor and power supply. We provide guidance for first start-up and trial runs; on-site support terms are confirmed in the quotation.

Do you export vibro sifters?

Please contact us with your country and requirement. Export terms, documentation and shipping are discussed case by case.
