Rajkot is Saurashtra's main industrial city, with a large base of food processors – spices, namkeen, flour and edible oil – alongside engineering and casting units. Sterial Machinery supplies vibro sifters in Rajkot from Ahmedabad, about 215 km by road.
Rajkot and Saurashtra Industrial Areas
- Aji GIDC – engineering, food processing.
- Metoda GIDC – engineering and small process industries.

- Gondal, Jamnagar, Morbi (region) – food, brass parts and ceramics.
Food Processing: The Main Use in Rajkot
Spice grinders and namkeen makers sift chilli, turmeric, coriander and besan before blending and packing. A food grade vibro sifter with the right mesh removes coarse fibre and lumps and gives a uniform product. Oily spices need generous screen area to reduce screen blinding.
Minerals and Ceramics Region
Nearby Morbi is known for ceramics. Fine mineral powders and glaze materials can be graded on a vibro sifter; see minerals & metal powders. For coarse aggregates a different machine type is used.
Popular Sizes
Small and medium spice units commonly use 20″–30″ machines; larger flour and besan plants use 36″–48″. A double & triple deck vibro sifter lets you produce two grades of a spice in one pass.
